This came as Petroleum and Natural Gas Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, Kaduna Zonal Branch, donated relief materials for the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in various resettlement camps in Borno state.

The affected Yobe communities are Gujba, Buni Gari, Wagir, Mutai, Katarko, Jamtari and Garin Itache.
In a release by the Director of Press Affairs to the governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, yesterday said, “Yobe State Government is working on a comprehensive plan to help people displaced by Boko Haram insurgents to return to their homes. But for the worst affected people going back to their towns and villages, the first and most basic service they need is access to clean drinking water. This is why the governor approved this money”.
Meanwhile, presenting relief materials to Governor Kashim Shettima of Bornu State, at the Government House, Maiduguri, yesterday , Vice Chairman of PENGASSAN Zonal office, Kaduna branch, Abubakar Yusuf Mustapha said, they were in Borno to identify with victims of insurgency and to commiserate with the people and government over the colossal loss of lives and injuries done to innocent civilians as a result of the Boko Haram crisis.
Mustapha said, “the gesture is to complement the effort of the government and other humanitarian organizations who have continued to offer support to victims of insurgency, and prayed Allah (God) to grant eternal life for the souls of those who were murdered, and quick recovery to the injured ones during the crisis.”
He however commended governor Shettima for his bold step in managing the lingering crisis of insurgents and presented an ‘Ambassador of Peace Award’ to the governor, particularly in his determined effort in assisting over million victims of insurgency in the state.
Responding, governor Shettima thanked PENGASSAN for its support and cooperation to the people and government of Borno State.
