President Buhari returns, says I’m fit

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday returned to Abuja after observing 14 days medical vacation in London.Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo had acted as President during the period based on Buhari’s communication to the National Assembly.Speaking with journalists briefly at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport, Abuja, Buhari, who was clad in a light brown kaftan with cap to match, said that he is fit to continue to perform his duties as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.He said: “You have seen me. You saw me whenI was going. You can do the assessment yourself.“I am okay. You can see me inspecting the guard of honour. You can see I am taller than you. Do you want to wrestle with me, you can do so”. He addedAlso speaking with journalists, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said that the President would resume on Monday.He restated his position that the President did not go on medical vacation but merely followedthe advise of his medial specialists to seek further advise.“The President is fit he is going to begin work in earnest.” He stated
