Borno State Deputy Gov. Hon Usman Durkwa on behalf of Borno State Governor H-E Gov Kashim Shettima visited Scene of Magumeri town attacked which occurred 15/3/2017 at about 5:30pm.
H-E Hon Usman Durkwa was accompanied by the Borno State Police Commissioner, Commander Mopol Six(6) , Acting Director of SSS, Hon Usman Zanah Comm of LG & Emirates Affairs, Hon Sugun Maimeleh Comm of Land & Survey, Hon Audu Ganga Member House of Assembly representing Magumeri LG, Caretaker Chairman Magumeri, Chief of Staff of the Deputy Gov Barr Hassan Dlakwa .
The Chief of the 5 Brigade Col Santana & DPO of Magumeri ASP Mohammed Usman who received the Deputy Gov expressed gratitude for the quick visit to them & they explained how it happened & the casualties involved.
The attacked were only Police Station & Nigeria Army based in Magumeri , One soldier was killed & another sustained injuries , one armoured car was burnt down by the Boko Haram including some cars & the car of the DPO of magumeri was also destroyed by Boko Haram. Col Dan-Gana also have a closed door meeting with the Deputy Gov H-E Hon

Usman Durkwa also proceeded to the Palace of the District Head of Magumeri, where he Condole the people of the town in their Central Mosque, where they have gathered & praying for God guidance and Protection over the incidents.
