NSCDC cautions Kano residents against employment fraudsters

THE Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has alerted residents of the state on the activities of fraudsters who extort money from unsuspecting persons with a promise to get them enlisted into the corps.
This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, and made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Thursday.

According to the statement, the warning becomes necessary following reported cases of illegal activities of the fraudsters in the area.

The statement, therefore, advised unemployed persons to report anybody found trying to dupe them as the corps had not started any recruitment.

‘’The corps wishes to inform members of the public that it is not recruiting at the moment. Anybody who approaches you on the purported recruitment exercise should be reported to the police for appropriate and necessary action,” the statement said.
It also warned those who engaged in the ‘shoddy deal’ to desist from the act, warning that anybody caught would face the wrath of the law.
