government has sent 40 girls to Uganda to study medicine and be trained
as medical doctors. He said the state university is yet to be accredited
for Medicine.
On the revival of textile industry, he said, “For
me personally, and for President Buhari, the revival of the textile
industry in Kaduna is a task that must be achieved in the next four
years.”
He said some of the measures being put in place by the
current administration to achieve the revival of textile include
discussion with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigeria custom service
and ensuring improvement in power supply.
el-Rufai also disclosed
that more than 50 per cent of the state’s budget will be dedicated to
the education sector. He said the government understand the key role
education has to play and is committed to developing the sector.
Speaking
