1,000 Receive Free Eye Treatment In Katsina

No fewer than one thousand persons suffering from different eye related ailments have received free treatment in Charanchi-Batagarawa-Rimi Federal Constituency of Katsina state.
The beneficiaries who cut across different age strata were drawn from over two hundred villages that comprise the Federal Constituency.
They were treated of different eye ailment including surgery which led to some people regaining their lost sight.

Our correspondent reports that the free treatment was sponsored by the member representing the constituency at the House of Representatives, Kabir Shuaibu Charanchi.
Speaking during the exercise, Charanchi said it was part of his humanitarian assistance to those in need “in view of the strategic importance of sight to human beings” adding “we have made commitment to making life better for the people and this is in fulfilment of such.
He said the exercise would cover all sort of eye problem adding that provisions had been made for the referral of those with more complicated cases to the katsina based eye clinic where they would recieved enhanced treatment.
A cross section of the beneficiaries lauded the lawmaker for the support and urged other well to do individuals to emulate such gesture so as to alleviate suffering of the masses.
In his remarks, APC chairman in the area, Alhaji Asassanta said the gesture by the lawmaker was an affirmation of the ruling party’s commitment to assisting the less privilleged insisting that the support was first in the series of good things to come their way.
