N5,000 stipend: Fulfil your promise, Buhari's wife urges APC

The wife of the president, Hajia Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to renege on its campaign promise of paying N5,000 stipend to unemployed Nigerians.

Mrs Buhari, in a statement on Tuesday by her media aide, Adebisi Olumide ajayi, also asked the APC to fulfil its promise of giving school children one free meal a day.

According to the wife of the president, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a party of integrity.

Mrs Buhari recalled that the APC had assured Nigerians during the campaign that it would pay 5,000 maira each month to 25 million most vulnerable citizens.

She, however, asked Nigerians to be patient with the APC-led government, saying the change they had been yearning for had come to stay.
