Happy Sallah to all Inside Arewa readers, we are back with another life experience story we hope you’ll like it at the end and learned two or more things at the end of the series of episodes.

‘Is that not your phone ringing’? He asked me while I fished for the phone inside my leather Tote shoulder bag.
‘Hello Yaya Sidi’ I answered....
 "Na'am Usaima where are you?"
Am at the hostel with Mansura Karaye (I lied).
"It’s getting late already, you should start coming its Magrib already, Nadin said you stay out late these days" he murmured.
‘Ok Yaya Sidi, will be on my way soon Insha Allah’.
Usaima stood up looking at Naseem, ‘I have to get going’, she said as she picked her handbag and books to leave the convocation ground where they were seated gisting with her boyfriend Naseem...
"So soon? Let me see you off to the school main gate where you can get Keke Napep" alright dear she answered, looking at him with eyes full of affection......


Usaima is the last daughter of Alhaji Sani Kibiya, she’s a student of ABU Zaria.
Alh Sani kibiya is a popular ex government official with his only wife Hajiya Asmau who is a medical doctor by profession working with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH).
Alhaji and Hajiya Kibiya are blessed with 6 children: Addah Fatima is the first daughter, Married in Jigawa with two kids Haneef and Haneefa..... Nusaiba, the second daughter who is also married in Kaduna presently in her 400l in ABU....... Nazif the 3rd child is also in 400l at ABU..... Followed by the twins Jamal and Nadin in 300, studying economics and pharmacy respectively.... Then Usaima, the baby of the house just starting as she is in level 1 studying Psychology....
They rented an apartment with her sisters and brothers at Zinat Apartment Samaru.
The ladies are occupying a self-contained room with toilet and kitchen while the boys occupy a single room and toilet. It’s a compound house...... But Let me not bore you with my family story and start with the main thing....


It all started when I was in 100level second semester, while Naseem is in 300l. During exams period, I went to study and get prepare for my papers in school after Isha’I prayer at public library.
 Not sure if it was love at first sight and don’t know if he saw when I was going in and followed me but all I can remember is we met in the library that same evening.
We were having group discussion with some of my colleagues when a tall, broad shouldered and fair guy came to us and picked up the handout on my desk, I turned and stared at him out of surprise at his confidence then he said ‘Hajiya can I borrow your hand-out for a couples of minutes please’?
He was like ‘oh ashe class dinmu daya dake how comes ban sanki ba’?

We were having education course the next day unknown to me his friend is in faculty of Education level 3. He kept asking me questions about the course though it was more of group discussion because he offered the course during his level 1 so he knew almost everything about it.
 Am not going to deny the fact that all of us enjoyed his positive contributions during all our group discussions, and I was like ‘Nasama dan ajinmu me kokari at least I have gotten a reading partner’
After the group discussion, we exchanged phone numbers and he left. Not knowing that it was his friend that sent him to get my number.
 He was like, she behaved maturely she must be our senior, maybe she is in level 4, who knows maybe she’s the daughter of the VC.
"I don’t have the confidence to stop her" said Naseem. It was funny when they found out I'm a Jambito (Fresh Students) not a senior student.
After the group discussion, Naseem and his friends hung around having their arguments unknown to me they’re waiting for me to finish reading and walk me home.
 It was around 11pm when my sister Nadin called me that everybody is done so if am ready we should all meet at north gate so we can go home together. So I stood up, arranged all my belongings and came out of the class.
I was about going when they came after me immediately they stopped me in front of public library, we exchanged pleasantry and briefly introduced ourselves.

 I told them I was going because my siblings are waiting for me at the gate. He then said he will call me, so I was like alright, wondering how they played so smart in getting my phone number......
