Bauchi State Governor Visits Patients with Life Threatening Conditions. Says Health Sector is Priority In Bauchi


 Governor M. A. Abubakar has once again demonstrated that government should have a human face; for the second time in this month, representatives of government have visited a number of citizens with different types of life threatening conditions at the Bauchi Specialist Hospital.
This is in addition to footing the medical bills of these citizens.
Recall that earlier this month, the Bauchi State government sponsored/visited a number of individuals with life threatening issues.

As a follow up, the Governor, represented by the State Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Development Pharm. Ibrahim Madaki Itas visited the patients to check and monitor their recovery progress.


The Hon. Commissioner expressed satisfaction and joy on how he met the patients. He maintained that the present administration under the leadership of Governor Abubakar will continue to keep its promise of not only footing their medical bills but visiting them to encourage speedy recovery. He also stated that the health and wellbeing of every citizen in the state is important to the current administration.

Majority of the recuperating patients visited were toddlers who successfully underwent various degrees of surgeries. Families of the patients thanked Governor Muhammad A Abubakar for the kind gesture and prayed that Allah Almighty reward him abundantly and also help him succeed in all that he does.

Governor Abubakar had made giant strides in the health sector, he was the first governor to meet the minimum budgetary allocation of 15% to the health sector. The 2016 state budget had 16% specified to the health sector to achieve the state’s 5 point health agenda.
