The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative PCNI, Lt. Gen. T.Y. Danjuma (rtd) has condemned the recent terrorist attack which led to the death of staff of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC and the University of Maiduguri, soldiers and an officer of the Nigerian Army and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) who were ambushed by Boko Haram Terrorists while on an oil exploration assignment in Borno Yesu District of Magumeri area of Borno State.
The incident occurred on the 25th of July 2017. General Danjuma issued the condemnation in a statement released by the Head of Media and Communications for PCNI, Alkasim Abdulkadir. He condoled the bereaved families and the state government and prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
“The death of these patriotic Nigerians killed in the line of duty is not only tragic but highly regrettable, a sad loss to the University Community, the NNPC, the Nigerian Army and the country at large.”
