Sokoto to spend N88m on Ramadan feeding



The Sokoto state government has earmarked N88 million for Ramadan feeding and other assistance to the less privileged persons in the state.
The Commissioner of Social Welfare and Culture, Surajo Gatawa disclosed this at the ongoing ministerial briefing marking the two years anniversary of Governor Aminu Tambuwal's administration.
According to Gatawa, the gesture was to enable them observe the fasting period happily.
He added that the state had treated 20 mentally retarded persons with N3 million.
The commissioner also said N1.7 million was spent on the wedding ceremony of two grown-up orphans in the state
