An associate of former Vice President Atiku
Abubakar, Alhaji Ibrahim Amin Little, has dumped the All Progressives Congress
(APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Little, who was a leading governorship aspirant
of the All Progressives Party (APP) in Kano State in
2003, was received by a large crowd at the secretariat of the PDP, in Kano, at
the weekend.
The exit of the Alhaji Little and his structure represents yet
another blow to the APC in the state State, according to pundits.
Speaking to reporters after the reception, Alhaji Little said he
turned his back on his former party because it failed to deliver on its
promises to Nigerians adding that Nigerians, both in Kano and beyond, were in
very bad shape under the charge of the APC.
Alhaji Little, who was a leading crusader for the Buhari
presidency, conceded that he bore no regrets for his support for the victory
of President Buhari, adding that in the circumstances then, he was
the best candidate for Nigeria.
He, however, noted that times and things change, adding that
President Buhari was no longer in charge in the light of his
health status even as he predicted that the All Progressives
Congress as a party held no promise for the future.
He also regretted that the Federal Government had not done
enough to compensate the northwest region for the number of votes they secured
from the region, adding that the Lagos – Ibadan axis, which contributed far
less, had been enjoying a better part of the administration
