Borno state Governor commends NEMA, as ECOWAS donates 22600 bags of assorted grains


Executive Governor of Borno state Alh Kashim Shettima has commended the efforts of National Emergency Management Agency under the leadership of the Director General Eng Mustapha Maihajja. 
The governor pointed out that the DG had visited Borno state on working visit more than five times since his appointment a few months ago as a sign of his commitment to ensure that ongoing humanitarian interventions of the federal government are properly implemented to provide succor to victims of insurgency in the state. 

The governor spoke at the Presentation of 22600 bags of assorted grains provided by ECOWAS commission for victims of insurgency in Borno state. The Governor Alh Kashim Shettima and Director General NEMA Eng Mustapha Maihajja received the items on behalf of the state and federal Government from the representative of the ECOWAS president Madam Iheme Florence at NEMA North east zonal office warehouse in Maiduguri Borno state. 
The governor also commended the Agency for introducing of Door to Door distribution of food items and putting trackers on vehicles used in transporting food items for IDPs to avoid diversion.
