Justice Sule Hassan of a Federal High Court
in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the prison remand of former ministers, Femi
Fani-Kayode and Nenandi Usman over money laundering.
The two former ministers were charged by the
Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) alongside one Danjuma
Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Nigeria Limited, on alleged money
laundering to the tune of N4.9 billion.
Justice Hassan ordered the prison remand of
the accused persons soon after their arraignment pending when he will
hear their bail applications on Friday.
Fani-Kayode and Usman, former ministers of
Aviation and Finance respectively, had pleaded not guilty to the 17
count charge preferred against them by the anti- graft agency.
