H.E Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam, his deputy Engr. Abubakar D. Ali, the Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Baba Mallam Wali and the Head of Service, Alhaji Saleh Abubakar were among hundreds of people who attended the funeral prayers for late Waziri of Pataskum, Alhaji Muhammadu Guza who died today at 85 years old.
The late Waziri Guza died in Kano after a brief illness. He is survived by his three wives, 25 children and 155 grand children.
H.E Governor Gaidam described the deceased as an elder statesman, distinguished community leader, politician and philanthropist who has touched the lives of many people not just in the Potiskum area but across the state.
The governor expressed his condolences and those of the Yobe State Government to His Highness the Emir of Patakum Alhaji Umaru Bubaram Ibn Wuriwa Bauya, to the family of the late Waziri Guza and the entire Pataskum emirate for the loss of the Waziri of Pataskum.
The governor prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the deceased al-Jannatul Firdausi and his family and Pataskum emirate the fortitude to bear the loss.
