Gov Abubakar promises to reward hardworking corps members


BAUCHI State Government has promised that it would recognize and reward Corps Members found to be productive and hardworking during their service years in the state.
The promise was made Monday by the State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar during the closing ceremony of the three weeks orientation camp of the 2017 Batch B, Stream II NYSC members posted to Bauchi, Yobe and Adamawa states who underwent camping activities at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo along  Bauchi – Maiduguri road.

The Governor who was represented by the State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Liman Bello, enjoined the youths to channel their resourcefulness towards executing projects that would impact positively on the people of their host communities.
While urging them to exhibit good manners and characters during the service period, Mohammed Abubakar assured that the Corps members’ welfare and security would continue to be accorded the highest priority in the state.
Also speaking, the State NYSC Coordinator, Afolayan James advised the youths to be mindful of the objectives of the scheme so that they will serve the nation as expected.
Afolayan James said, “Therefore you are to remain in your places of Primary Assignment for the duration of the service year and avoid unnecessary and unauthorized journeys”.
He added that “Also ensure you respect the customs, traditions and general ways of life of your host communities so that you can genuinely identify with them and contribute to their development”.
