Breaking: Ali Modu Sheriff sets to become PDP Chairman

 Former Borno state governor, Ali Modu Sherrif is set to become the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the party's governors, national caucus and the Board of Trustees endorsed him as the substantive chairman of the party.

 Sherrif's  is now waiting for ratification of the former ruling party's National Working Comittee (NEC) for him to become the chairman of the party.
 Names of Ali Modu Sheriff came into the PDP chairmanship race earlier when the PDP spokeman, Olisah Metuh, said the national caucus of the party had invited him alongside former chairman of the Economic and FInancial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, to join the party's chairmanship.
