Confirming
the suspension on Thursday,the Sallama Katsina and Secretary of the
council Bello Ifo said the suspension is with immediate effect.
Daily Trust had earlier reported
that Bala was detained by the police for two days over an alleged rape
of a 15 year old (names withheld)
Kafarbai was said to have overpowered the victim and raped her when she was sent to his house by her father.
After having his way, the accused
handed N3,000 to the victim to take care of herself. The victim who in
turn informed her parents was later taken to hospital by her parents
were she was confirmed been raped before subsequently reporting to
police that led to his arrest.

Department have taken over the investigation.
