His Excellency Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR the Executive Governor of Kano State yesterday, 24th March 2017 flagged off the 2nd phase of the construction of 789 handpump boreholes across the 44 LGs of the state.
This is in addition to over 400 boreholes constructed last year around the state in order to ease the problem of water shortage in rural areas of Kano. This is all part of the Kano State Rural Integrated Programme of his Excellency, tagged Karkara Salamu Alaikum which intends to rapidly develop our rural areas.
Within the last year, solar powered boreholes were also constructed by
the administration of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR and additional
boreholes were repaired in the state.
