Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu Distributes Food, Money and Clothing to Patients in Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital


KEBBI STATE GOVERNMENT CONTINUES SALLAH WELFARE TO THE NEEDY
The wife of the Kebbi state Governor, Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu yesterday went round the state capital distributing sallah bounty to patients in Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Vesico Vaginal Fistula Centre, Gesse and Amanawa Leprosrium Kalgo.
The annual package of food, money and clothing is part of the duties of the Ministry of Women Affairs and was coordinated by the Permanent Secretary Halima Dikko. Also on the visit was Aisha Augie Kuta SSA, wives of government officials and female medical professionals.

The visit gave the institutions the opportunity to highlight problems to Her Excellency. CMD Sir Yahaya Dr Jafar Augie requested urgent overall renovation; VVF centre workers had not received their Sallah Bonus and review of their monthly cash allocation. In the Leprosy centre the village head and PMO said electricity supply is poor and the school needs upgrading.
At all the centers Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu agreed the problem need solving and promised to present them to His Excellency.
She however also lamented poor the maintenance culture in the state generally.
