A
delegation from the national Emergency management Agency (NEMA), has visited
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at the Government House.
The team,
led by NEMA's Director of Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Sunny P. Omehu who
represented the D-G, Engr, Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja, announced a donation of 450
bags of rice, beans and maize each, 250 bags of millet, 100 bags of sugar, 700
bundles of roofing sheets, 195 bags of 3 inch nails and 195
packets of zinc nails.
Other
items donated include 800 bags of cement, 300 pieces each of blankets and
mosquito nets, 500 pieces of ceiling board, 200 pieces each of guinea brocades,
wax prints, 400 pieces of nylon mats, 500 pieces of foam mattresses, 50 pieces
each of pumping and sewing machines
Governor
Tambuwal commended the team for its donation, and assured that the items will
get to the persons intended to reach.
The
visitors commended Governor Tambuwal for his prompt responses to disasters in
the state.
