Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleman
Adamu has approved the suspension of the Waziri of Bauchi, Alhaji
Muhammad Bello Kirfi from the Bauchi Emirate Council.
The suspension was contained in a
statement signed by the Information officer of the emirate council,
Alhaji Salmanu Yakubu Lame and made available to journalists in Bauchi
on Tuesday.
The statement noted that the suspension was with immediate effect.
According to the statement, Kirfi was suspended as a result of disloyalty and unruly behaviour.
Although the statement was not explicit on the alleged disloyalty that led to his suspension, palace sources revealed that his suspension may not be unconnected with an incidence that occurred at the Bauchi central mosque before Jumu'at prayer last Friday.
A verbal outburst by the Waziri against Alhaji Adamu Aliyu (Walin Katagum) reportedly angered the emir which allegedly led to the suspension of Alhaji Bello Kirfi (Wazirin Bauchi).
