Sen Kwankwaso Empowered 1000 Football Club With Cash, Jersey Worth N150 Million



The senator representing Kano central under Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation is supporting 1000 football clubs across northern Nigeria with equipment and a token of fifty thousand naira to each of the clubs. The football equipment and cash donations worth N150 Million where distributed by Nigerian Football Federation President "Amaju Pinnick" represented by NFF executive member Ibrahim Gusau.

This is, in the continuation of earlier completed programs which includes: The mass wedding of 200 Couples, transformation of 4002 Mai-Shayis (Tea Sellers), release of hundreds of prisoners.

This move by the distinguish senator is to encourage the development of sporting activities across northern Nigeria. 500 out of the 1000 teams where selected from kano while the remaining beneficiaries where drawn from 18 northern states.



Damburam, who is a member of the House of Representatives, representing Kano Municipal noted that Kano disbursement is the pilot scheme, donations to selected clubs from other parts of the 18 Northern states commences immediately. 

In his words “our Grand Commander, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has directed that we spread the gesture to other states of the North as soon as we conclude the Kano event today.”

“The next three months, the sports empowerment programme will be spread to across all the states in the country, including Abuja to showcase the magnanimity of Kwankwaso and the passion he has for the game of football and sports development”, he added

“The Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation seeks to engender and promote peaceful coexistence and development for the betterment of socio-economic well being of the common people in our society"
