Gov. Atiku Bagudu flagged-off UNICEF Distribution of Health Commodities and Emergency Transport Scheme


Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu flagged-off the Distribution of Health Commodities and Emergency Transport Scheme, under the UNICEF Sokoto Field Office.
He commended UNICEF for its support to Kebbi State, on Health and other areas of intervention which has consolidated the provision of basic amenities to communities.
He wished the UNICEF Sokoto Chief Field Officer, Muhammad Muhammad success in his new place of posting after the expiration of his tenure in Nigeria.

In a remark, Muhammad Muyihideen said he has enjoyed working with the state government and pledged to maintain the relationship after his exist.
He said items distributed included fifty motorcycles, ante-natal facilities drugs for diarrhea, meningitis, vaccines, beds, baby beds, and other medical equipment.
In an address, the Commissioner for Health, Umar Usman Kambaza said the facilities would enable health personnel to reach all nooks and crannies of the state and afford rural populace have easy access to health facilities.
Earlier, the Chairman of NURTW Kebbi, Alhaji Usman Bagudu said they have provide 500 drivers across the state to evacuate pregnant women to hospitals in cases of emergency.
