Medical Charity WMR Provides Yobe N1.4 Billion Medical Equipment, Supplies

The medical charity, World Medical Relief (WMR) has provided medical equipment and supplies worth over N1.4 billion to the Yobe State Government to support the Gaidam administration's effort to make healthcare more accessible and affordable and accelerate Yobe's recovery from years of Boko Haram violence.
WMR President George V. Samson made this known when H.E Governor Ibrahim Gaidam visited the medical charity's world headquarters in Detroit, Michigan in the United States yesterday.
WMR is a non-profit, multi-funded charitable organization that collects and distributes medical and dental equipment and supplies within the US and around the world to help the sick and the less privileged.

Mr. Samson said up to 10 40-foot containers of medical equipment and supplies, each valued at between USD400, 000 and USD500, 000, will be given to Yobe State to be used across its hospitals and medical centers throughout the state.
He said this is to support the Gaidam administration as it works to pull Yobe out of the ditch of years of Boko Haram devastation and violence and help the people access better medical care.
H.E Governor Gaidam, who was given a tour of WMR's facilities and warehouses based in the northern suburbs of Detroit, expressed the gratitude of the government and people of Yobe State for the support, assuring that the state government will make the best and maximal use of the equipment and supplies provided for the benefit of the people of the State.
The governor also assures that the state government will make all the necessary logistics arrangements to facilitate the shipment of the equipment and supplies as soon as possible.
H.E Governor Gaidam said his administration pays a lot of premium to healthcare, a fact amply underscored by the massive investments that the government continues to make in the sector.
