Kebbi state governor swears-in newly elected LG Chairmen


The Swearing-in Ceremony of the Elected Local government Council Chairmen in Kebbi State by the Executive governor of the state, His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu (Matawallen Gwandu)
After a well campaigned for election win, 21 new LG chairmen have been sworn in today 24th July 2017. This includes 19 female councillors and 2 vice chairmen. 

The swearing in ceremony took place at a jam packed Waziri Umaru Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi. HE Senator Abubakar Bagudu thanked the people of the state, security teams, members of the press and even the opposition parties for a peaceful election worthy of emulation by other states. He urged the new chairmen to work hard to implement all polices of the government and assured them of keeping us doors open to them at all times. 

Last night, His Excellency Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu hosted Senator Adamu Aleiro a former governor of the state and other indigenes to a dinner in honour of the officials. The dinner took place at the presidential hall in Birnin Kebbi.  We wish them a successful tenure that brings progress to the state.
