The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has suspended the village head of Ganduje town and brother to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Sani Ganduje for gross misconduct and negligence to traditional duty.
The emir’s palace announced the development yesterday, saying that Sani Ganduje was found guilty of negligence to traditional responsibility and gross misconduct, following his inability to pay back the money of a business personality who paid through him to go to Saudi Arabia.
The emir described his action as one capable of tarnishing the image of the emirate in the eyes of the public and the world.
LEADERSHIP further gathered that this was not the first time the village head would be suspended for an offence contrary to the rules governing the emirate.
Emir Sanusi had recently warned royal fathers against misconduct and threatened to remove any if found wanting.
