Gov Kashim Shettima Commends Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for its Corporate Social Responsibility drive in Borno


Governor Kashim Shettima continues routine inspections
... Commends Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for its Corporate Social Responsibility drive.
Governor Shettima made the commendation during his usual routine inspections when he inspected two blocks of classrooms jointly constructed by the State Government and the NSE in providing affordable and quality education to the pupils.

He assured that one meal per day will be provided to the pupils as part of the effort to boost the morale of the pupils, adding that partnership with the commission is a welcome development.
The Governor therefore directed Commissioners of Housing and Energy, and that of Local Government and Emirate Affairs to join hands and provide solar panels to complement power for the school.
Director, Academic services, Madam Stacey Nwokeyi, while briefing the Governor said the two blocks of classrooms also has a library, adding that the school can accommodate 360 pupils.
She said they acknowledged the success recorded by the Governor in the education sector and therefore decided to partner with him as part of their contribution in that direction.
Governor Shettima inspected the 202 orphanage school, Bama road afterwards.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work despite the resources given for the job, as he urged the contractor to redouble efforts and complete it.
