Kebbi state governor advises all eligible voters to register in the ongoing voters registration exercise by INEC in Kebbi


Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has advised all eligible voters in the state to register in the on-going continues voters registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Similarly, the Governor requested those who were yet to obtain their permanent voters card to do so immediately.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari says, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu gave the advice in the course of his tour to local government areas to mobilize people towards peaceful and successful conduct of local government elections scheduled for the 15th of this month in the state.
He described voters card as an important element in democratic process without which is eligible voters could become disenfenchised denying them their right to choice good leaders.

The Governor reminded leaders and those aspiring for leadership about the necessity to be servant of the people of overlords. Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who visited Shanga, Ngaski, Yauri, Fakai, Zuru, Danko/Wasagu, Sabaka, Koko/Besse, Bagudo, Suru and Dandi Local Governments, used the opportunity to pray for the good health of president Muhamadu Buhari and his safe-return home.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who presented a APC chairmanship candidates and councillorship to the people in all the local government areas visited, made its clear that, the APC remind the only party with sincerity of purpose and solicited for massive votes from the electorate for the APC in the forth coming local government election in the state.
The Governor also received steward of the PDP who defected to the APC and described the action as the best for the development of the state.
He remarked that, the Kebbi state has now become one big family and urged every indigene of the state to collectively joined hands with government to facilitates its progress.
During his visit to Shanga headquarters of Shanga Local Government, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said his administration retrieve the farms lands for cultivation of sugar-care taken away from the people and given to a big company by the previous administration under a questionable agreement, was done to ensure justice.
He pledged to look in to the request of the people to construct additional roads, and provide the basic socio-economic amenities to uplift the leaving standard of the people.
  Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was also at the palace of the Kwakwate Shanga, Alhaji Nasir Ja’afar as a mark of respect to traditional institution, during which the Governor urged leaders to mobilize their subjects towards, peaceful coexistence among the people.
The Governor acknowledged that the agricultural potential of Shanga Local Government and affirmed the commitment of his administration to assist farmers to cultivate mare food and cash crops.

Addressing hundreds of people who gathered at Warah Headquarters of Ngaski Local Government, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu expressed happiness about the unfolding support to the administration by the people of Ngaski.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu assured them that their request for an improvement of power supply to the area was being look into, assuring that, the problem would soon be a thing of the past.
The Governor who rejoiced with the people of Ngaski for remaining united as one big family requested them to turn out enmass and votes for APC during the forth coming local government election.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu told the people that, the state government has dispatched a team of engineers to examine the Warrah Central Mosques after which reconstruction work would begin.
In the spirit of respect to traditional rulers the Governor visited the palace of the Maginga Warah, Alhaji Abdulmalik Nuhu during which he gave an assurance that, the challenges facing the people of the area would be summated by government.
The Maginga of Warah, AbdulMalik Nuhu pledged loyalty and obedient of the people of the District to the Government. At the palace to receive the Governor was the first Executive Governor Kebbi State Alhaji Abubakar Musa Garkuwan Yauri.
In the course of similarity campaign visit to Yauri, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said the federal government has since released money for the completion of Yauri power substations and the installation of second transformer to improve electricity supply to Yauri and Zuru.
The Governor said he was aware that, many electrical poles have falling to the ground, saying that, the government would re-fixed them, but appealed to the people to report to the appropriate authorities any pole which has falling to the ground or become damaged.
He solicited for votes for the APC from the people of Yauri to ensure that, all APC candidates of chairmanship and courcillorship emerged victory.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu visited the palace of Emir of Yauri, Alhaji Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, where he pledged to look into the problems of water supply to Yauri and environs.
The Governor assured the Emir that ongoing road projects in the area would be completed, while contract for new project would be giving out.
The Emir Dr. Zayyanu Muhammad Abdullahi advised leaders at all levels to govern with the fear of God and seeks for advice, where necessary to towards attaining good governance.
