Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam, New GOC Pledge Closer Ties for Security

H.E Gov. Ibrahim Gaidam and the new General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brig. General B.I Ahonatu have pledged closer ties to deepen peace across the state and ensure improved security.
During a visit to the governor at Government House, Damaturu, General Ahonatu expressed appreciation to Governor Gaidam for his relentless support to the army and other security agencies in the state, saying the governor's support has been pivotal to the successes recorded against insurgents and criminals.
"We are here for the people of Yobe State. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure peace and security in the state", Gen. Ahonatu said.
H.E Gov. Gaidam also thanked the army and other security agencies for their hard work in bringing about relative peace in the state.

He said the Yobe State Government, under his leadership, has been supportive of the army and other security agencies and will continue to support them as they push ahead with their effort to ensure peace and security.
The governor also said that he will continue to liaise with traditional and community leaders to mobilize people to remain vigilant and to always support and cooperate with security agents.
Brig. General Ahonatu was accompanied by other senior military officers including the Commander of the 27 Task Force Brigade Bun Yadi, Brig. General Aminu Bande.
