APC susspends Kaduna deputy speaker over anti-party activities

The Executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwaturu Ward, of Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, yesterday passed a vote of no confidence on the Deputy Speaker of the state house of assembly and member  representing Kachia constituency, John Audu, and thereafter suspended him from the party with immediate effect.
In a communiqué signed by the ward chairman, Philip Peter,  the party said  Audu’s suspension was due to his anti-party activities and poor leadership style, adding that the decision was arrived at after due consultation with members of the APC and various party faithful from his ward.

“The Deputy Speaker  has also been involved in clandestine and nocturnal meetings with members and stakeholders of the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Besides, he is dictatorial and authoritative in his conduct and affairs as they involve the party.”
The communiqué urged the Deputy Speaker to respect the decision of the party as the final arbiter.
