Student from FGGC Malali kills own baby in Kaduna

A student of the Federal Government Girls College, Malali, Kaduna state on Wednesday murdered her own new born baby.
Daily Trust gathered that the student attempted to through the baby over the school fence, but ‎over the school fence, but the corpse got caught on the fence by the female hostel.

When our correspondent visited the scene, a large crowd had gathered but the corpse had been taken away by the police.
Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, DSP Zubairu Abubakar said one Ummu-Salam Umar; an SS1 student has been arrested in connection with the crime.
He said, "at about 1.15pm, the Vice Principal of FGGC, Malali, Mrs. Obianwuzia reported at the station that ‎the corpse of a new born baby suspected to have been delivered by a student wrapped in a white cloth was thrown over the school fence.
"The corpse of the baby was left dangling on the school fence until the police came and removed it. After taking picture of the scene, it has been deposited at the mortuary."
He however noted that investigation has commenced into the matter.
