Kaduna State Attains 5 Years Free Polio Status


Kaduna state government said it has sustainably achieved five years without any polio case.
The Commissioner of health Dr Paul Manya Dogo disclosed this at a retreat organized by Kaduna State primary health care development agency for three local government administrators of the state to strengthen routine immunization.

While commending parents for allowing their children be immunized within the period of years under review, he for concerted efforts to sustain the achievement.
Also speaking on the essence of the retreat, deputy director of the agency Hamza Ibrahim said osnto use the local government administrator to reach out to people at the grass root on the need to better their health.
Highlight of the retreat was the presentation of monetary support by Nigeria National polio plus to family of immunization worker Ramatu Abdullahi who lost her life and those that sustained injuries during the last immunization exercise at Rigachikum, Barakalahu and Kaduna north local government area of Kaduna state.
