Suicide bomber kills 3, injures 7 at IDP Camp in Pulka, Borno state


A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber attacked a camp for Internally Displaced Persons in Pulka, Borno State killing three and injuring seven others on Monday.
Pulka is 135 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital in Northeast Nigeria.
“The suicide bomber came to the entrance of Camp 4 around 11 AM on Monday morning and detonated the explosives strapped to her body and at the last count, we have 3 deaths and 7 injured persons”, says Bukar Amin, an emergency aid official.

“Yes, there was a suicide attack on a camp in Pulka, 3 people died and injured ones are 7 in all” says, Bunu Bukar, Secretary of the Hunters Association in Borno State.
The attack came barely a day after 6 soldiers lost their lives while about a dozen others were injured when a military convoy was ambushed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Sandiya village of Konduga town on the Damboa /Konduga borders, 76 kilometres away from Pulka town in Borno State.
Pulka was liberated from the hands of Boko Haram insurgents by the military in early 2016 after being held for close to two years.
