Resolutions from the
strategic meeting held between National Information Technology Development
Agency (NITDA), Nigeria's IT regulatory body and Gartner Inc, the world's
leading research and advisory firm recommends for the Nation to be developed as
the IT hub of Africa due to her high rate of Digital Literacy among youths,
population size and digital natives.
The meeting converged at
Gartner's regional office, Johannesburg, South Africa. The meeting also deliberated on best practices to
develop and regulate IT in Nigeria and Africa.
Present at the
round table meeting were the Director General of NITDA, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim
Pantami FBCS, his technical assistant, Kashifu Inuwa, Dr Paul Morrison,
Regional Vice President Sales Gartner and Vice President, Service Delivery
Gartner, Joseph Appiah-Yeboah.
