2 Kebbi pilgrims die in Mecca



Two pilgrims from Kebbi State have died in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Confirming this to our correspondent on phone, the State Publicity Secretary on 2016 Hajji Exercise, Alhaji Aliyu Jajirima Kenya said the two pilgrims died during a brief illness.
He said the dead pilgrims who were from Maiyama and Augie local government areas of the state had since been buried according to Islamic rites.

The wife of Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu who is currently in mecca condole their families as well as the people of Kebbi State over their death.
“She described their death in Mecca as a favour and happiness to their families, praying Alhah to forgive them of their sins”, he said.
He added that Dr Zainab has commended kebbi state pilgrims for conducting themselves in the holy land while urging them to pray for the present administration in the state and at the national level to put both the state and the country’s economy in proper shape.
