Katsina needs 13,000 teachers –Masari



Thirteen thousand teachers are needed to ensure high standards in primary and secondary schools in Katsina State.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari stated this Sunday shortly after inspecting ongoing renovation of Government Science Secondary School in Batagarawa council area.
Masari said as part of efforts to meet standards, government had given approval for the recruitment of 1,900 teachers mainly in science subjects.

He said the current state administration also intends to ease classroom congestion by allowing for maximum of 50 students per class in schools across the state.
He said each class would be provided with furniture among other teaching materials to make for the right atmosphere for learning in the schools.
