The Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) Kano Zone has said that it had recorded 214 cases
with 24 undergoing prosecution and secured 23 convictions and recovered
the sum of N54,535,651,183.74 and $622,200.00 respectively.
Showcasing the Commission’s progress at a press conference in Kano yesterday, EFCC’s Zonal Head of Operations, Mr. NNaghe Obono Itam stated that property recovered by the commission included eight houses, nine plots of land, three trucks and a car: all from fraudsters and corrupt politically exposed individuals. Itam said the achievements were recorded between January and October this year.
