NAF Commissions Additional Accommodation In Kano, Immortalizes More Personnel

In furtherance of its efforts at improving the welfare of its personnel for effective service delivery, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has again commissioned another 30 x 2 accommodation block for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at the NAF Base Kano. The 2 blocks were named after Late NAF83/13246 Flight Sergeant Warris E and Late NAF04/21946 Lance Corporal Gagara G both of who died in the Northeast during OPERATION ZAMAN LAFIYA on 11 August 2011 and 30 January 2012 respectively.

Commissioning the new accommodation, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, represented by the Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Christopher Okoye expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari and members of the National Assembly for the timely release of funds to the NAF which has enabled it provide accommodation and other laudable projects in all NAF units across the country. The AOC therefore challenged the beneficiaries of the new buildings to make judicious use of the facilities through adequate maintenance.
The newly commissioned accommodation, which has been adequately furnished, is one of the numerous projects embarked upon by the current NAF leadership to add value to the lives of its personnel.
