Kano state Executive council has approvedthe sum of N48. 5 million for procurement of anti-malarial drugs and malaria rapid diagnostic test kits, as part of efforts to respond to the scourge of malaria prevailing in the state.The State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Muhammad Garba who made this known while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state weekly Executive Council meeting stated that N10 million was also approved for procurement of chemicals for mosquitoes, vectors and rodents control at 52 boarding secondary schools across the state. “These initiatives are to further reinforce prevention and control measures put in place by Government, to cub the scourge malaria, which has so far affected many people, especially women and children in the state”, the Commissioner highlighted.
