The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu and the Director-General of the Department of State Security, Lawal Daura were Friday engaged in a head-to-head discussion at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The duo were sighted holding
talks at the forecourt of President Muhammadu Buhari's office having
joined him earlier for Juma'at service at the State House mosque.
State House correspondents
could not but watch from afar as they were barred from getting close to
where the two officials were discussing.
It would be recalled that the
Senate had refused to confirm the EFCC acting chairman's appointment
based on a report from the DSS which reportedly stated that he had
integrity issues.
Others who also joined Buhari
at the prayer session included Niger State Governor Abubakar Bello,
National Security Adviser Babagana Monguno, Attorney-General of the
Federation Abubakar Malami, Defence Minister Mansur Dan-Ali etc.
