Water for Sustainable Living Initiative (WAFSLI) is a volunteer-based NGO committed to providing rural communities with access to safe and clean water, improved hygiene and sanitation. Since inception, we have provided 5 communities in Makera and Kwazazzabo in Tudun Wada LGA, Kano; Kukyel in Kunchi LGA, Kano; Abaji East Primary School in Abaji and UBE Quarters in Danbatta LGA in Kano with access to clean water, primarily through drilling of hand-pump boreholes. We also renovated 4 toilets in Abaji East Primary School, which the students now use at their convenience.
You are all welcome to join in a great opportunity to help raise funds and creating awareness for a great cause while having lots of fun with the family. WAFSLI will be hosting its first annual fundraiser; a Family Fun Fair on Saturday, the 22nd of April at Monoliza Amusement Park Area 11, Garki from 12pm-7pm. This event hopes to attract hundreds of families across Abuja to join in the fun, learn about water, hygiene and sanitation best practices and help raise funds for a great cause.
This event will include tons of great food and drinks, rides, games, bouncing castles, face painting, horse riding, shopping and so much more! All proceeds are going to WAFSLI projects, to provide communities in rural areas with access to clean water. The entry fee is N500 for adults and free for kids!!
Vendors will also have the chance to take part of this opportunity by showcasing and selling their products at the park. For a small fee of N10,000 vendors will be provided with electricity, canopy and tables to conveniently set up their attractive stations and interact with customers.
