Gov. M.A Abubakar to Build 5000 Capacity Hall at NYSC Camp Wailo

In line with his drive to ensure all corps members posted to the state are made as comfortable as possible, Gov. M. A. Abubakar has approved the construction of a 5000 capacity multipurpose hall at the State’s permanent NYSC orientation camp in Wailo. The Governor made this known at the opening of the 2017 pre-orientation course held by NYSC in the state.
Gov. Mohammed Abubakar also used the opportunity to assure all Corps members posted to the state of improved welfare, security and safety during their service year. He reiterated his support for the scheme saying the NYSC remains a critical vehicle for fostering unity and integration.
He charged those calling for the abolition the scheme to have a rethink that was the only remaining national programme that truly allow the youth to have a better understanding and appreciation of the greatness that abound in the nation’s diversity.
It will be recalled that it was the effort of the administration of Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar from 2015 of providing improved security by constructing the perimeter fencing and building of four hostels accommodation and modern kitchen at State NYSC permanent orientation camp in Wailo that led to resumption of the orientation exercise which was conducted in Plateau State for some years.
