Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Abia State chapter, Reverend Theophilus Anyimson has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has no hidden agenda to Islamise Nigeria.
Anyimso, who doubles as the Superintendent of the Umuahia Central District of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, stated this on Thursday in Umuahia during the inauguration of the church’s project.
He said, “Nobody can Islamise Nigeria. Presidents will come and go and Nigeria will remain. They say Buhari has come to Islamise this country but I tell people that it is not true. He has come to rule for four years or eight years, and he will leave and Nigeria continues.”
The cleric called on Christians in the country to propagate the gospel across the length and breadth of the country without fears, saying “all nations belong to the Lord.”
Anyimson explained that the church project was aimed at multiplying the membership of the church in Nigeria for the next 10 years through aggressive evangelism.
