‘I Still Get Lost In Aso Villa’ – Buhari Admits

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 left his interviewer stunned after he availed that he still gets lost when he moves around in Aso Villa.
According to PM News, President Buhari made the disclosure during an interview with France 24. When asked if Aso Rock was the same as the Government House he had left in 1985, President Buhari replied: “It was not the same place. The last time I was there, I was in the barracks. This time I am in a palace. At times, I can’t find my way around. It is so big so much that it must be expensive to maintain. But it is there, it cannot be removed.”

The Presidential Villa was built in the late 80’s and first occupied in 1991 by Buhari’s successor, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, who moved the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from Lagos to Abuja after an aborted coup.
When quizzed if he is now a different man from the military dictator he was, President Buhari answered: “I don’t think basically, I am a different man. I came back to power under a different system.”
