The
micro blog site, Twitter has been agog with comments of the stoning of
Senate President, Bukola Saraki at Thursday’s eid prayers in Ilorin,
Kwara state.
The Senate President was reportedly pelted with stones, sachet water and other missile by irate worshipers who said they were protesting non-payment of their salaries by the state government.
While some witnesses alleged that he was stoned by unpaid workers in the state, others said those who carried out the stoning were hired thugs. Another section of witnesses claimed nothing of such happened at the Eid ground.
