The election petition tribunal in Zamfara State
has dismissed the petitions of the  All Progressive Grand
Alliance(APGA)and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  against the election
of Governor Abdulaziz Yari. In the ruling, Justice Grace Onyebo said there were no facts to support
the petitioners allegations that the governor was not duly elected. It
further ruled that the petitioners were unable to establish that there
was over voting during the 2015 April election in the state.
It would be recalled that the PDP, in its final written address before
the governorship election tribunal, maintained that G
overnor Abdulaziz
Yari and APC committed fraud during the election.
