NSCDC arrests criminals siphoning Kaduna refinery fuel

The operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kaduna State Command have arrested two suspects who specialised in illegal siphoning and sales of petrol at Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited. Parading the suspects in Kaduna, the State Commandant, Alhaji Modu Bunu, said the suspects, Suleiman Abdullahi,and Ayuba Zeyanu, were arrested with seven 25-litre jerry cans of 25 litres of petrol

Bunu, who warned criminals to stay off Kaduna State, explained that on interrogation, the suspects confessed to have specialized in buying and selling of illegal siphoned Premium Motor Spirit.
Bunu said: “On the 3rd October, 2015 at about 1800 hours, men of the NSCDC on surveillance at Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company, KRPC, intercepted Ayuba Zeyanu and Suleiman Abdullahi with a blue Golf 3 wagon loaded with seven jerry cans of 25 litres of suspected siphoned pms.
Items recovered from the suspects include one blue Golf 3 wagon with registration Abuja AU 518 YAB and seven Jerry cans of 25 litres of PMS.
To succeed in anti-vanadalistion task of the NSCDC and other statutory mandates, the Commandant has enjoined traditional rulers, religious leaders, opinion leaders and members of the public to collaborate with the corps.
