Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has applauded the efforts and contribution of NYSC in helping the state government’s fight against polio and HIV /AIDS and social vices in the state .
The governor also stated that his administration places high premium on youth development and as such, the NYSC will act as a catalyst to achieve youth oriented developmental programmes within the state. The governor stated this at the passing out parade of the 2014 ‘Batch C’ Corp members at Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi.
Bagudu therefore implored them to utilise the various forms of experiences gathered during the service year to establish small scale enterprises which will make them to be self employed and employers of labour.
Meanwhile authorities of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kebbi State has announced the repeat of service by one year of eight corps members, while 21 got extension of service for offences ranging from abscondment and truancy, as 2014, ‘Batch C’ Corps members rounded up their service year.
