Here is my response:
The investment drive initiated by the Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai’s administration through our investment promotion agency, (KADIPA) is bearing fruit with the decision of Olam, one of the largest agricultural firms in the world to establish the biggest poultry farm in Sub-Saharan Africa in Kaduna.
Secondly, the just completed farm, would produce one million two hundred thousand day-old chicks weekly, and would help to reduce our dependence on imported poultry. Already, over 3, 000 jobs have been created for artisans and veterinary doctors employed during construction in the past eighteen months. This is in addition to the thousands of direct and indirect jobs to be created by way of out-growers scheme after the commissioning tomorrow.
Thirdly, the company invested about US$150m in the project which comprises of Grain Silos with a combined capacity of 50, 000 metric tones, a world class state of the art hatchery and feed mill which is already impacting directly on the state’s economy with a nationwide market, in addition to five other satellite poultry farms within the state.
The journey of making Kaduna great again will be a long one, but the fact is, Governor El-Rufai has set the tone and the template. And the journey is unstoppable.
If you are less busy, lets link up tomorrow (12 September, 2017) 10am at Olam Farms KM 24 Kaduna-Abuja Road.
I hope my friends are satisfied with my brief narration.
